Jan Wood, Mindfulness Guide

For more than a decade, mindfulness has helped me navigate a sometimes confusing human experience. Living with chronic pain and a nervous system that processes the world differently, I needed more than coping strategies. I needed a way to be present with life as it actually is, not as I wished it would be. Mindfulness met me there — in breathing, in movement, in eating, in creative practice, and in the ordinary moments that make up a day.

These aren’t techniques I teach from a distance. They are practices I live with daily.

I believe that people already carry within them what they need to heal. Sometimes we simply need a steady presence to help us remember what we already know. That is how I work — not as an expert with answers, but as a guide who walks alongside you, helping you find your own footing.

I offer mindfulness sessions in Baker City, Oregon, or through distance sessions via phone or video conferencing. Whether you’re seeking relief, rest, or simply time to reconnect with yourself, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
